Can this be plugged into the wall or does it require a battery pack?
We are looking to purchase this for my husband's elderly grandparents and were curious if you can just plug directly into the wall or if it needs to operate on battery packs. Battery packs would be a lot of stress and effort on two 90 year olds, one with very limited mobility, and wall plug would be much more convenient for them

It has a sturdy wood frame. Lots of cushion. Very soft and comfortable but gives lots of support.

COMFORTABLE
Had bought this chair before, but had an accident. Living Spaces had a sale and I had to have it again, so I immediately ordered it. I'm a full-figured woman and thank God it fits me well.

I purchased the recliner as I recently had hip replacement surgery from a broken hip. It makes it easy to get into as it lifts forward to meet me, and it reclines with foot lifts to satisfy my leg/hip alignment. Since it lifts vertically I can get out of my recliner with ease. The remote is easy to use and chair has a pocket on the side to store it in.

After a visit the night before I purchased this chair to my grandfather who we learned is terminal, I saw the chair he was more or less isiolated to and immediately made plans to purchase a power lift chair. My search began before any store was open and after running around the valley to medical supply stores, the only thing I was able to come up with were small, ugly and expensive chairs that I knew my grandmother would never let into her house, (think 1970 greens, yellows and oranges). My last ditch effort was Living Spaces. I walked in and immediately saw this chair and I knew it would be perfect. Not only nice to look at but functional and comfortable, which of course I wanted for my Grandfather. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and understanding with my situation and were kind enough to let me pay at the scottsdale location and have a family member pick it up at the Phoenix location. Family went over and set up the chair before my grandpa came home and once he saw it he was thrilled beyond belief. I firmly believe he is currently still with us because as he said “this chair is so comfy and I can get out of it myself.” So thank you living spaces for providing with stylish options for something that is welcome and needed to help with independence later in life.

Perfect for situation
We looked everywhere for the right recliner due to a shoulder surgery and the inability to sleep in a prone position. Living Spaces had by far the nicest selection to fit our needs. The best part however was the corded control module. It allowed me to adjust the recliner with my good hand instead of having to reach across for the standard control on the side.
We also had two of the best sales people to assist us. Without their help we would have had to settle for something that wasn't quite right. This is my second time purchasing from Living Spaces so I'm just going there first next time!!!
